There are two kinds of books on the disc. Some books were created specifically for this disc. Other books already existed in print form.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òPrint-derived books have a table of contents.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òClick on a section to go directly to it.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òSubsections will be displayed in the scrolling area to the right of the Contents.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òAt the top of each page from a print-derived book, the title and the section or chapter are displayed.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe current page number and total number of pages are displayed in the upper right.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òClicking on the page number displays a window to enter the number of any page to jump to.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òIn the upper right hand corner of each page is a triangle.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òClick on the corner to "dog-ear" or bookmark that page and allow you to easily return to it.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òTo add and remove bookmarks or go directly to any bookmarked page , click on its page number.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òAt the bottom of each page are next and previous page arrows and a t table of contents button.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òTo add text to a collection in the Portfolio, hold the mouse down and drag to select text.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òWhen the text is highlighted, drag it into your Toolbar collection, where it is represented by a text icon.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òYou can then annotate the text in the Notes section of the Portfolio.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òArtworks featured on the disc mentioned in a book display as thumbnails in the right margin
<\Break><\Indent 20> òIf a title appears in the text, there is a hyperlink to the Catalog.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òCollect the thumbnails in your toolbar, or double-click to see the artwork.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òOther objects mentioned in the text that are in NMAA's collection but not featured on the disc are indicated by a small red symbol in the text.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òClick on the symbol to display a pop-up window with an illustration and caption<\Break><\Break>.
